Design For and Aging Population: Falls
I am a product design student and have written the following brief for my final project of my degree. I am currently looking for feedback on my ideas from prospective users or people who are affected by the needs of potential users so that I can further develop my designs.
Brief
Design a new product or range of products designed to support, benefit or improve the wellbeing or older people who have fallen over or who are susceptible to falling over. Consider the needs and wants of the friends, family, carers etc. of the target demographic as well as the older people themselves. The product may be designed for an older person or any person who may be affected by the needs and wants of an older person. Care should be taken when desiging the product not to segregate the older people or make them feel like they are a burden.
Below are my ideas so far. Please make any comments or suggestions.
